David Fitzpatrick is a clinical counselor, university professor, academic program consultant and business manager. He has experience in inpatient, intensive outpatient, outpatient, detox settings and has counseled at various organizations in Wake County. David has been employed as a manager at IBM since 1999 and has over 20 years of experience in the business world.
David is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. He is a Teaching Assistant Professor and member of the Graduate Faculty in the Social Work Department at North Carolina State University and adjunct faculty in the Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program at Pfeiffer University. David received his PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education from North Carolina State University. In addition, he has a Master of Clinical and Substance Abuse Counseling, Master of Rehabilitation from East Carolina University, and a Master of Management from North Carolina State University.
David is dedicated to providing compassionate and empathetic service to those affected by substance use disorder and mental illness.
