Healing Transitions (formerly The Healing Place of Wake County) is a 501(c)(3) private, not-for-profit organization located in Raleigh, NC that began providing services in 2001.
Our mission is to offer innovative peer-based recovery oriented services to homeless and underserved individuals with alcoholism and other drug addictions. The program is specifically designed to rekindle a person’s desire and ability to return to a meaningful and productive life.
Healing Transitions strives to provide services based upon the following guiding principles:
- Lower and remove barriers to initiating recovery
- Provide services on demand
- Utilize peer-based recovery support services
- Assist people as many times as it takes to gain stable recovery
- Empower people to live full, meaningful and productive lives
Healing Transitions provides the following services at both the Men’s and Women’s campuses:
Healing Transitions also offers Outpatient Services. The outpatient services assists families that have nowhere to turn when dealing with the challenges of alcohol and drug addictions as well as mental health challenges. We also be provide assessments for the court as well as full DWI services, individual care, private case management, family work and much more.
Recovered Treasures is Healing Transitions’ thrift store. Recovered Treasures provides quality clothing, shoes, household items, books and furniture to our community at affordable prices and jobs for graduates.
All proceeds are used to help people find their way back from the stronghold of addiction.
