Our Goal: $125,000

TOGETHER, WE STAND STRONG.

Everyone deserves recovery. At Healing Transitions, we are dedicated to ensuring that our community, particularly the homeless, uninsured, and underserved, has access to the vital services and unwavering support needed to reach and sustain recovery.

When someone enters our doors, they’re not alone anymore — and that’s where the healing begins. We believe that every person who walks through our doors deserves a chance at new life and freedom from addiction. But that chance only exists when we — as a community — stand together. No matter what. And as many times as it takes.

This National Recovery Month, join us as we aim to raise $125,000 to fund the first month of recovery for 75 people seeking a new life.

THE HEALED VILLAGER HEALS

Meet Amanda D. (Silver Chip #267). Her story is one of resilience and healing. Born and raised in Raleigh, Amanda experienced trauma during her childhood but it was ultimately the disease of addiction that drove her to the use of illicit drugs and alcohol.

After two months in jail for the last time, Amanda walked through the doors of Healing Transitions for the first time. She walked in with hope and found more than recovery. She found her purpose for life. Amanda has since formed lifelong relationships and she now teaches recovery classes and sponsors other women.

“Before I got sober, I was completely incapable of having meaningful relationships with other people,” Amanda reflects. Now, Amanda is a loving daughter, bonus mother, girlfriend, and recovery leader in her community. “The opposite of addiction is connection,” says Amanda.

Today, Amanda has been sober for over six years with a sobriety date of March 26, 2019. Once she completed the Healing Transitions program, she returned to her rural community in South Georgia as an invaluable resource for those on their recovery journey.

1 MONTH. 75 PEOPLE. $125,000.

Amanda’s story is an important reminder of power and importance of community in recovery. Peer support from others who have walked in the same shoes and fully understand the journey ahead is absolutely critical. Together, we’re stronger and no one should have to stand alone against recovery.

It costs Healing Transitions $55 per day to provide one person with life-saving recovery services. Your support today matters now more than ever!
