Eric Barber

Board of Directors

Eric is a NC native living in the Triangle for the third time (the current stint is 24 years and counting!). He lives in Raleigh with his veterinarian wife (and best friend) Chris and countless animals. They have three terrific grown children, two of whom live in Raleigh as well. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and occasionally playing tennis.

As someone who has been amazed and inspired by the impact of Healing Transitions since its
inception, he is honored and humbled by the opportunity to play a small role in ensuring the
continuation and expansion of services to those who struggle with addiction.

Eric obtained his BA in Economics from Duke University in 1987 and his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 1988. He has worked in the vertical transportation (elevator) industry for 34 years in various roles and is currently the Director of Field Transformation for Schindler Elevator Corporation.
