Adam Cohen and Cooper Heins, founders of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit ArtGivers, have a mission to make the healing power of original art available to more people in more places. They purchase art from emerging artists and donate it to mission-driven organizations, including free and charitable medical clinics, shelters, and drug rehab centers. ArtGivers’ artwork is displayed on both our men’s and women’s campuses, bringing a joyful energy that uplifts the spirits of participants, volunteers, staff, and visitors alike.
Adam shares, “Seeing the limited audience for original art, yet recognizing how meaningful it is to live with it, made me frustrated that so many people don’t have access to that experience. I started considering the concept of giving art away, but then thought, if you’re going to give art away, who should you give it to?”
