SUMMARY

This position will manage the sorting, merchandising, intake, and sale of donated items. It will also maintain a clean and safe working environment in the store and sorting areas, manage checkouts, and handle end-of-day totals. Additionally, the role involves overseeing volunteers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assure all donated items are placed on sales floor for sale in a timely manner
  • Assist volunteers and help create a positive, cooperative, rewarding volunteer experience
  • Exhibit professionalism and empathy towards all customers, callers, and donors
  • Assure store is open and operational during determined store hours
  • Adhere to all policies of Healing Transitions
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred 6 months of sobriety
  • One (1) year experience/training in retail or equivalent

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and write documents written in Standard English.  Good interpersonal skills and ability to use appropriate language with staff, donors, customers and peers.  Employee is required to demonstrate excellent customer service.

TRAVEL

Light travel to Men’s or Women’s Campus for meetings.
