Volunteer With Us
Volunteers are always welcomed and needed in a variety of capacities at Healing Transitions, and provide the added benefit of serving as role models to participants who are working to put their lives back together. Volunteer opportunities include:
- working in our Recovered Treasures Thrift Store
- volunteering as a group on a custom project (i.e. corporate teams, churches, etc.)
- volunteering in our kitchen at our men’s or women’s campus.
Sign up today (or learn more) by selecting one of the buttons below to submit your interest form. Upon completion, we’ll be in touch to coordinate the specifics (date, time, location, etc.).
Finally, you’ll need to return to this page to complete a Visitor Confidentiality Waiver and Release of Liability before your volunteer shift. If you’re under the age of 18 or bringing a minor to volunteer, you must be accompanied by a parental guardian and bring this completed Parental Consent Form. You can turn your forms in when you volunteer or email them to volunteer@healing-transitions.org. Thank you, in advance, for your interest in serving those in need.
Donate Goods
There are two ways to donate goods to Healing Transitions.
1. You can donate items directly to our thrift store, which has been created solely to assist those who are homeless and in recovery in Wake County. 100% of the proceeds from your purchase helps to support Healing Transitions.
2. You can donate staple goods to be used in our programs. Oftentimes, when participants enter our program, the only belongings they own are the items on their backs. We are always in need of clothing and household items for our participants. Reach out for supplies needed.
