Dave Wickstrom founded Team DWC in 2020 after leaving the Administration for Community Living (ACL), an operating division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. At ACL, Dave was part of a team that evaluated the effectiveness of more than 350 Centers for Independent Living awards totaling over 90.8 million dollars in funding to ensure program and fiscal compliance. While at ACL, Dave also developed Program Guidance/FAQs to support grantees on multiple topics. Prior to ACL, Dave served at the Alliance of Disability Advocates (ADANC) as the Executive Director. Under Dave’s leadership, ADANC underwent a complete rebranding and overhaul of services that led to multiple awards given by the City of Raleigh. While serving as the Executive Director, he secured over 1 million dollars in funding to increase services in the Raleigh/Durham area. During his time at ADANC, Dave served as the Chair of the North Carolina Mental Health Block Grant Council and as the veteran representative on the North Carolina Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council.

Dave is originally from Lexington, KY, and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. Dave also has an Executive Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from Duke University.
