Michael “Mick” Quinlan

Board of Directors

Mick Quinlan serves as the Director of Product and Information Technology at the North Carolina Joint Underwriting Association (NCJUA) and the North Carolina Insurance Underwriting Association (NCIUA).

The NCIUA/NCJUA are non-profit associations created by law to act as a market of last resort to provide adequate basic property insurance to property owners in North Carolina. Each organization exists to provide consumers insurance protection when they cannot find coverage elsewhere.

Mick has been in the insurance industry for twenty-eight years serving in a wide variety of roles including, Product Development, Underwriting, Operations, Sales and IT. Mick believes in the importance of giving back to the community and throughout his career has been an avid supporter of Volunteer efforts in his local community.

Mick has volunteered with organizations including the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the SPCA to name a few. More recently Mick has led his team to volunteer events in support of InterAct and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina right here in Raleigh.

He has a B.S. degree in Journalism from the University of Florida, a B.A. degree in Business from St. Leo University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

In his free time he enjoys hanging out with his wife Erin, daughter Riley, and Labrador Retriever Bunny. His favorite pastimes include mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and playing boardgames.
