Board of Directors
Natalie joined DHIC in 1996 after undergraduate and graduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill and has been creating and preserving affordable rental housing opportunities in the communities it serves ever since. As a native to the Triangle region, she has dedicated her career to providing stability and opportunity by bringing new and reinvigorated places for low- and moderate-income families and seniors to live and grow. Since joining DHIC, she managed the completion of 20+ rental developments and is now a member of DHIC’s senior management team, heading up its real estate development line of business as Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development.
Natalie recently completed her final term as a member of the Finance Committee of the YMCA of the Triangle. She previously served on the Women’s Leadership Steering Committee of ULI of the Triangle and was the mentor for the annual Partnership Forum. Natalie was also a member of the board of directors of Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW) and the Land Protection Committee of Triangle Land Conservancy. She also volunteered with the NC Department of Adult Correction teaching yoga to women who were incarcerated.
It was her experience in the 25th class of Leadership Raleigh and a volunteer project that first introduced her to the work of Healing Transitions and she has admired the organization’s mission and commitment to serving members of our community ever since. Outside of work Natalie enjoys cycling, traveling (sometimes while also cycling), reading, working out at the Y and exploring her neighborhood and beyond with her dog, Hugo.
