Derek Jones, an alumnus of the Healing Transitions program, continues to give back in meaningful ways. He employs individuals currently in the program at his business, sponsors men in their recovery journey, and plays a key role in the culinary planning for our annual Recovery Champions’ Gratitude Dinner.

In his interview, Derek shared, “Giving back has been the key to staying sober and living a happy life. I try to keep in the forefront of my mind that I wouldn’t have any of what I do if this place didn’t exist. As an alumni, I just walk in the door and help out. Our experiences, even the bad ones, are so valuable; I want to use them to benefit somebody.”

Derek’s commitment to supporting others in their recovery journey is a true testament to the power of community and giving back. Watch his Volunteer Spotlight video to learn more about how Derek is making a difference!
